“We’re truly honored to continue this great tradition on behalf of Winona Volunteer Services,” said Andrew Guzzo, Chief Banking Officer & President – Winona. “A special thank you to everyone in our community for their generosity and support during the drive’s 36th year.”

This year’s total was $133,001.15 in cash and 21,908 pounds of food. For the purposes of calculating the total, two pounds of food are counted for each dollar. Last year’s total was 261,127 pounds. The total for 36 years now stands at 5,095,848 pounds.

“The 10 Days of Giving food drive provides many meals for families and individuals throughout the holidays and into next year,” said Co-Chair Ashley Harrison. “We are fortunate to belong to a community that consistently supports one another year after year.”

“We appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm throughout the drive and taking time out of your holiday season to support Winona Volunteer Services,” adds Co-Chair Lucas Stangl.

Merchants collected donations at its branches as well as at participating schools, businesses and organizations around the area (see full list at www.merchantsbank.com/10daysofgiving).

The 10 Days of Giving food drive is an annual community collaboration between Merchants Bank and WVS to make sure no one in Winona County goes hungry each winter. Since 1989, the drive has collected more than four million pounds of food helping thousands of people. In addition to the Winona drive, other Merchants locations partner with their local food shelf in a similar effort. Learn more at www.merchantsbank.com/10daysofgiving
